Just come back from Wrigley interview, 1st round, normal group discussion. They got 100 candidates in written test which I thought I failed coz my math sucks. The only part I did well was English reading. Then today, they get about 50 students.Everyone looks talented and it's no different than P&G interview. Guess only half can get into the next round and they have 4 rounds interviews and we are guessing they only want one or two students. Gay, huh? 1/100! Whoah!

Not sure if the HR likes me. After so many interviews, I feel it's hard to tell if you have the chance to get into next step coz different company has different selection standard. And, the one who did best in group discussion doesnt necessarily get into the next round. Most don't. A guy who got the chance to get 2nd round interview of P&G was kicked out by Medtronic and I showed my strong leadership and time management in Golden Eagle interview and I got eliminated. So today, I just let those who were desperate to show off they have leadership by volunteering to be the leader, presenter and time controller and I just grabbed chances to control the group talk slyly. Well, you don't have to be a nominated leader to be a real leader. I still steered the talk in some way. I'm not being arrogant. It's my bloody life lesson from previous interviews.

This is one of the best group discussions I've been involved in. Everyone is smart, encouraging and friendly. And we could reach agreement and improve plans very fast. There were 2 or 3 students in the Golden Eagle interview who did everything they could to challenge whatever was agreed by discussion. So annoying! It's not 2010 American Presidential Election! Jesus!

Well, interviews in China are similar to American Election I guess -- long, tedious, sophisticated process and expect to meet fastidious, retarded, opinionated, pathological, demure, feisty (that's me, huh? Chris? lol) people. And if you wanna win, better start training yourself as early as possible from how to defend yourself when you are interrogated, how to act professional (like if you should avoid rolling up your sleeve when you are happened to be locked in a stuffy "aircon-less" room of a hot sunny winter day of Kunming...) and how much money you need to swindle from your dad or credit card center bury your disgraceful past...

It's all about LUCK and TACT.

I'll have a 25 min test with Walmart tomorrow morning. Cissy told me it's translation. ha! ha! ha! Finger crossed! Let me translate my way there. Then at 11.30am they'll publish next round's candidates names outside of a building. Good job, Uncle Sam! And the 1st round interview will be in the afternoon. I heard to save time, they'll compact 2 rounds interviews in 1. For example, you are expect to meet the HR first and then your line manager. They'll possibly sit in one room and question you till you decompose. But I still hope I'm lucky! Walmart ranks 1st in Fortune 500!

After the crazy Walmart Wednesday, I have morning interview in Novartis on Thanks-giving and Yours Truly's Birthday. Should I borrow Chris' turkey and thank them if they give me the job?

I won't celebrate this year's birthday. No time. It's not the worst birthday I've had anyway. And if I'm free, me and Chris are gonna celebrate it in American time. Friday to me. American Election and China Interview nothing serious - KiKi - JoyceのWorld

Also, I need to find some time to go to the bank with Emma. She's leaving for Ireland soon. So better get her things done before both of us get crazily busy in Dec.

Then weekend. May go shopping with mom and on Sunday, Bank of China written test. Gay!

I started working on my essay yesterday. I haven't felt learning is more fun. No sarcasm here. But I get to learn interesting theory on Chinese and American culture clashes and all the funny big words. I hope my English can be more advanced after Dec.
